Stock Research Engine

idea

Unconventional signals in one place. Reddit sentiment, insider trades, options flow, congressional buys, Chinese ADR media.

What

A research tool that pulls together the stuff retail traders usually check across a dozen tabs. Reddit chatter, unusual options activity, SEC insider filings, congressional trade disclosures, and Chinese-language financial media for ADRs.

Each signal is noisy on its own. When a few of them line up on the same ticker at the same time, it’s probably worth looking at.

Why

Individual tools exist for most of these. Unusual Whales does options flow, Quiver Quantitative tracks congress, Sentire watches Reddit. The interesting part is the overlap, and the Chinese ADR angle. There’s a whole financial conversation happening on Xueqiu and Weibo that English-speaking traders don’t have easy access to. Even rough LLM translation would be useful.

Where it stands

Still in the thinking phase. The data sources are all accessible and the hard parts are getting useful signal out of Chinese financial media and keeping false positives manageable.
